The Magnificent Seven: Short-Handed Bradford Dominates with Flawless Teamwork

Four Clean Sheets, Three Wins, and One Spectacular Performance on a Day to Remember.

The magnificent seven

Bradford travelled to Ben rhydding with just seven players on remembrance Sunday, for what was a spectacular team performance. With no subs available all the players knew their roles and executed to perfection. From Erin marshalling her troops, thwarting any shots that came her way, to the solid back line of Baldip and Jacks organised and tireless defence to keep the ball in the oppositions half. Austin took to the central midfield orchestrating attacks and scoring from distance when called upon. Both wingers Scarlett and Alanah were flawless as they posed constant threats down each side and Bradford's own Champagne Charlie scoring 8 goals over the four games.

Bradford Vs Aire Valley 2
5-0
Austin opened his account with a well taken finish from the games first short corner, low and powerful to the keepers right. The loud crash of the ball was a sound of things to come. Alannah went close and forced the keeper into a good save before Charlie added his first of the day. Austin made it 3-0 with a ferocious strike from the centre of the D and Charlie took his second of the game with a deft finish past the GK, before completing his hat trick to make it 5-0.

Bradford Vs Adel
0-0
A fairly uneventful game as Bradford knocked and knocked on the Adel door but couldn't put the ball in the net. The game seemed to be over before it started with a stalemate for both sides.

Bradford Vs Halifax 2
4-0
As Bradford took to the field after another 2 game wait, they hit the ground running as Alanah put the team one up. The second goal of the game had to be the goal of the tournament. Charlie weaved towards the goal from the left before his tomahawk shot exploded off his stick, over the goalie and into the far top corner. As the team hunted for more and dominated the middle both Austin and Charlie added to their tallies to make it 4-0.

Bradford Vs Huddersfield Dragons 1
5-0
The last game of the day saw a very confident Bradford dominate and look like a team of Boars! Scarlett got the ball rolling by playing a perfectly weighted pass into the D for Charlie to tip in. Jack's confidence grew and he began to hunt the dragons and after winning the ball in the middle, played the ball to Alanah who scooped her 2nd of the day. Erin maintained her 4th clean sheet by sweeping clear a dragons attack. As Bradford grew in hunger they scored three further unanswered goals through Alanah and Charlie x 2.

A day to remember for seven hungry Boars.
