The overview
The match
It was a close match between Bradford and Thirsk today. Sadly, we lost 2:1 to Thirsk. However, there were many highlights to look at.
First, the goal. Rory during the second half of the match made his first goal of the season.
Then Jugraj with his fantastic defence skills, being able to do both attacking and defending short corners with ease. Due to this, he got player of the match, in which he has been striving for, for a while.
An honourable mention would be Amelia L, with her amazing ability to swap between defending and attacking the ball immediately after losing/regaining the ball.
Well done to our goalkeeper of the match, Teighen, who saved many attempts to score from Thirsk.
Defence in general was amazing this match. In our only defending short corner, we focused on denying them space and regaining the ball.
Attacking was great too. When we had the ball, we made space and brought the defenders out and away. We created the space and used that space to score.
Overall, it was a great match. Thirsk was a hard team to play against and we gave it our all.
